Volunteer recruitment PRINT

PEOPLE become emergency services volunteers for a wide variety of reasons but all find their involvement rewarding – either serving the community in a meaningful way, learning new skills or working alongside others in a mutually supportive team.

Regardless of the role volunteers undertake in the operational services, training is provided by highly qualified trainers to enable volunteers to carry out tasks to the best of your ability.

The youngest volunteers in the FESA family are the Emergency Services Cadets, who are given the opportunity to follow the training and service ideals of emergency services agencies.  Time and expertise are also given by instructors to run these units.

Other FESA volunteers not involved directly with emergencies are members of the FESA Historical Society.  They give up their time to help record the evolution of firefighting in Western Australia as well as maintain and update the large historical collection of FESA’s Fire Education Centre and Museum.
