StateAlert automatically delivers emergency warnings direct to you when lives may be in danger in your neighbourhood. It is a free service and you can register to get messages by email, fax or your mobile for up to three addresses.

StateAlert does not replace current public information tools or the need to look after your own safety. It is an additional tool used to alert people in a specific location where there is immediate danger.

All home phones (landlines) will automatically be registered to receive StateAlerts. If you don’t have a home phone or want to get messages in other ways or for multiple addresses you need to register.

The system is currently being tested and will be ready for use by the upcoming summer bush fire season. There will be a launch of the system when it is open for registrations.
