What is RSS?
RSS (otherwise known as "Really Simple Syndication") is a data format for syndicating news and other content. RSS feeds provide free automatic updates to your computer every time the content is updated on a particular website.
Which feeds does FESA currently offer?
FESA offers RSS feeds for Emergency Alerts and Media Releases.
How do I subscribe to an RSS feed?
To receive FESA’s RSS feeds you need a feed reader. In more recent web browsers, feed readers are built in as standard features. If you are using Internet Explorer 7.0 or Firefox (Mozilla), refer to the section on Browser Installation Guides below.
If you do not have a feed reader built into your browser, you will need to either install one on your computer or choose to use a web-based feed reader application. FESA does not endorse any particular product, though some commonly used readers are listed below:
Windows MAC Readers for those with visual impairments After configuring your browser or feed reader software, you will need to opt-in to receive the FESA RSS feed by following the relevant links on the FESA site. Once you gave successfully subscribed to a particular RSS feed, information is instantly sent to you as it is published on the website.

To ensure that you receive RSS feeds as they are published, please make sure your select the following internet options (or similar) on your computer:
- Opt to receive alerts every five minutes
- Disallow/disable caching
