The Fire and Emergency Services Authority (FESA) has developed a suite of 14 standard designs commonly called ‘footprints’, for operational emergency service facilities. They provide varied accommodation options for volunteer and career emergency services and provide flexibility to meet the needs of the different combinations of FESA supported services.
The footprints will assist in Emergency Services Levy (ESL) Grant applications and capital works processes by providing a choice from designs that are fit for purpose.
The ‘facility footprint’ concept is a significant initiative which will reduce the costs and delays in providing purpose built facilities for emergency services in Western Australia and I commend it to you.
