FESA - Fire and Emergency Services Authority of Western Australia

Volunteer Emergency Service

FESA has developed multi-functional emergency service units operated by volunteers trained for a number of emergencies and natural disasters.

Known as Volunteer Emergency Service (VES) units, VES volunteers now combine the resources and expertise of a State Emergency Services (SES) unit, bush fire brigade, Volunteer Fire and Rescue (VFR) and/or a Volunteer Marine Rescue Service (VMRS).

The combination of the volunteer experience and expertise provides the VES with a robust, knowledgeable and effective emergency service for the community.

For information about becoming a volunteer with the VES, please contact the Volunteer Recruitment information line on 1800 628 141.
